Project: Bridge Road Pump Station

Location: Vancouver, BC

Duration: May - July, 2019

The new Bridge Road Pump Station, set to complete in 2020, will serve the North Shore municipalities of West Vancouver, the City of North Vancouver and the District of North Vancouver waste water treatment plant. Our crew installed shotcrete to the secant pile walls. This project put our team in close spaces with tight finish tolerances, working in aerial lifts on walls up to 37' high. We installed a total of approximately 10,000 square feet of shotcrete to the radius walls.

Project: Crescent Slough Culvert Rehabilitation

Location: Ladner, BC

Duration: February to March 2013

To reinforce the existing deteriorating multiplate culvert under Highway 17 in Ladner BC, silica fume dry mix vertical and overhead shotcrete were installed 200mm thick to line and fortify the culvert. This project required tight access to set up the dry shotcrete equipment, and the added challenge of a height restriction within the culvert.

Project: Bennett Dam Slope Stabilization

Location: Hudson Hope, BC

Duration: February to October 2012

The LRutt team completed work on the west and east faces of the Bennett Dam spillway above the flip bucket. All work was completed out of a custom crane basket. The project provided challenges, working out of a crane basket to scale loose rock, pressure wash the rock face and apply two layers of steel fiber silica fume shotcrete to an area of approximately 3,800 metres squared. The height from the top of the spillway to the bottom was approximately 60 metres, requiring application of 1400 cubic metres of shotcrete.
